David Bowie Set to Hit No. 1 On The Billboard 200 Album Chart For The First Time

david_bowie_90001It’s hard to believe that the late David Bowie has never had a No. 1 album on the Billboard charts. It’s easy to see that hundreds of LP’s that have not stood the test of time did reach the top of the Billboard charts but there’s no accounting for tastes and trends of the time. Bowie however has many albums still getting loads of airplay but maybe his latest, “Blackstar,” released on his 69th birthday will finally reach the No. 1 plateau.

Released just a few days before his death, “Blackstar,” looks like it’s headed for No. 1 with 130,000 in sales in its first week. It should dethrone Adele’s latest “25.” The project was considered a parting gift to his fans.
